GODSONGS RECORDING STUDIO (state-of-the-art audio/video production)
GODSONGS recording studio - is a state-of-the-art studio. We specialize in music production, but also offer video services/products as well. We began in 2009, and have been doing Christian music/videos exclusively for Christian singer/songwriters/bands and musicians. Whether it's a full length album/collection of songs, an E.P., or a 3 - 4 song demo; we can do everything necessary from recording the basic tracks, to the final mix - down to mastering the final mix for sale or distribution...
We can help with designing your album cover, or promotional pictures/images; and also assist in distributing your songs to all the major online digital stores like iTunes, Amazon, etc. We can even help with doing your promotional pictures here in our studio, and if creating a video is your game; we can assist you in that as well. We can help artists with copyrights, designing their custom website, and also setting up their music/videos on the commercial music sites popular to most listeners today such as: Spotify, Soundcloud, Reverbnation, Numberonemusic, and more. From beginning to end - we can help with almost every aspect of the recording process.
MINISTRY FIRST/BUSINESS SECOND
GODSONGS was established with the idea of helping Christian artists/singers & songwriters record their songs and videos in an atmosphere that inspires great works that honor God and promote the gospel of Jesus Christ. We started this studio with our eye on "ministry" and not on making money... That being said, we do want to make a profit and know that running a studio requires money and investment to be competitive and produce excellent works for the Kingdom of God. We believe that no Christian artist should feel his or her songs or videos cannot be realized because the price is too high for them to afford. We will do our best with every Christian band/artist/client to make their dreams come true - and at a price that they can afford. We may not be able to do that for everyone - but we will do our best to not let money be the most important factor in our relationship with our clients. *The only music we will agree to record are songs that honor God, family & country... that covers a lot of music styles & genres.
THE "MONEY" THING...
Most of our work is done by the hour for a set fee, but that is not always the case; depending on what needs to be done and if an entire project is being recorded. In that case - we will work with clients on a budget plan that is affordable that fits their budget and situation. I understand, because I'm also a singer/songwriter myself. Knowing a band or songwriter may only want to add some lead guitar; or do a "final mix", and/or "master" a song is one of the reasons we offer the client the option of doing "exactly" what needs to be done - and no more. It's much cheaper - and a lot faster!
So, if a client only wants a "part added" - like a guitar solo, or a keyboard or synth part; that will be on an "hourly" fee... The end game is to do things in a way that is fast and inexpensive; but at the same time satisfying and of the highest standards. In the end - the client's ear is the final judge. A song is not finished until the client is happy with the way each part or song sounds. We are not trying to make a "one time sale", but know that a happy customer - is someone who will come back again and again; and also tell others where they got such a good mix!
"NEW SCHOOL" RECORDING
Finally, most "new school" recording these days is done without even coming to the studio physically to record songs and music! Many of the song's parts, even vocals can be done without ever having to set foot in the studio. wav files can be sent back and forth from our studio to other studios, or directly to the songwriter or bands themselves. This means, that it's possible to never meet face to face with the engineer or producer - and create some of the best songs/music ears have ever heard!
An artist still should come into the studio to do vocals, or for doing the final mix; but that being said - even then it's not necessary if a person has a good home studio, or other studio to do some of the tracks... in that case they just send us those tracks and we put them in the mix here at GODSONGS. We mix all the existing tracks down, and send it back to the client for their approval/comments/suggestions - and then it's into the oven for the "final mix". If everyone's satisfied with that "final mix" - we "master" it before publishing or sending out for airplay or CD replication.
A.I. (Artificial Intelligence) & RECORDING AUDIO/VIDEO
Our studio just recently started using some A.I. technology in composing songs. I have found that the actual sound is amazing, and the variety and number of different sounds/genres you can tap into is quite extensive. That being said, it has serious limitations, and the obvious one is the vocal simulations while sounding very real, and even stunning to the ears; leaves little room for changing the myriad of different vocals that real singers bring with their own unique style and personality. That has a long way to go it seems. The music on the other hand is very precise in tones, sounds, and even how they are blended / mixed together to create a song.
For now, I think using A.I. to create a musical foundation, within a particular genre is useful, and allows for a solid foundation to build upon. That is where we are at with A.I. for music creation.
A.I. for video creation, has in my estimation a longer way to go if it is going to be used regularly as a tool for our studio creating music videos. I have experimented with many of the leading companies offering A.I. features for creating videos and while they are able to create some really great effects and have some great features; they have some very serious limitations. The templates that I have used and worked with are small in number, and are geared for mostly secular audiences and themes, and are not well suited for videos with a spiritual/Christian; or even religious message in general. The few choices in characters to act out a videos singing or movements is at this time very limited in choices, and for that reason alone makes doing videos that everyone else is seeing not very appealing. That being said, our studio will probably start using A.I. in creating music videos when the features and options are better. A.I. for better or worse, like everything is here to stay, and to not use it is to allow others to pass you by when you are trying to compete for an audience. All singers/songwriters/bands and musicians want to increase their audience so do we - so we will use A.I. when it makes a song or video better. It's really that simp[e.
FINAL THOUGHTS
Creating a great sounding song without going broke, has always been the name of the game for struggling artists/bands and songwriters - we understand that. One song at a time is what I recommend to every person who desires to record and hear a finished song that he or she wrote. I can't tell you how many clients just gave up, quit - before they finished "one song". It's sad but true...
Do one song at a time, see it through to the end. Finish it, and then build on that foundation. Soon you have two songs, then three, and well - in a short time you have an EP, or a CD that you can say is completely finished. That for a songwriter/artist - is one of the best feelings you can have. Nothing like it.
We hope you pursue your dream of recording your song(s), and having a finished recording that you know is done right. Having a song die in a folder, or sit idly on the shelf; or lying half baked on a dusty hard drive is a tragedy. Only God knows how many "potentially great" songs are doing just that! It's possible for you, for any aspiring songwriter/singer/band to record and publish their songs.
